Honda has released a limited edition version of the latest Honda Civic – the Civic Ti – with sporty cosmetic tweaks. Honda wants us to think of the Civic Ti as a ‘Sporty’ Civic – despite no changes to the power or chassis – so they’ve bolted a set of ‘Le Mans’ Alloys from Team Dynamics on to the new Civic Ti – the same suppliers that give Honda wheels for their BTCC cars. As well as the alloys, the Civic Ti gets colour coded wheel arches, a leather steering wheel and gear knob and stuff from the Civic 1.8 litre i-VTEC SE on which it’s based including Climate, AUX and USB, steering wheel controls for audio and electric windows.
Federal regulators have opened a safety investigation of as many as 865,000 General Motors SUVs from 2005-07 model years after complaints that inaccurate fuel-gauge readings led to stalling and one accident. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's preliminary evaluation is looking at 2005-07 Buick Rainiers, 2005-07 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 360s, 2005-06 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT 370s, 2005-07 GMC Envoy 360s, 2005-06 GMC Envoy XL 370s and 2005-07 Saab 9-7Xs. NHTSA said in a posting Friday that it has received 668 complaints of inaccurate fuel-gauge readings, 58 of which involved stalling vehicles.
The new Subaru Legacy is being teased
Subaru have moved quickly from showing a concept version of an all new Legacy at the Los Angeles Auto Show, with the first tease for the new Legacy revealed ahead of a debut at the Chicago Auto Show in a week’s time. Looking at the tease (above) it does seem to have a very similar shape to the concept version we saw at Los Angeles,. But if Subaru’s recent form is anything to go by, the production Legacy will be far less impressive than the concept.
